Elon Musk is believed to have broken up an old relationship and Google Co-founder Sergey Brin after having an affair with his wife Nicole Shanahan, according to an article in The Wall Street Journal.
People who are familiar with the matter have told the newspaper they believe that Brin and Musk were divorced earlier this year with the excuse of “irreconcilable differences” but Musk claims to have denied the allegations of an affair, and claimed that he’s still close to Brin and claims that this report was based on “third-party unsubstantiated information.”
Musk and Shanahan’s romance allegedly took place at the prestigious Art Basel event in Miami following the split between Musk and his girlfriend Claire Boucher, also known as Grimes. Sources inform the WSJ they believe that Brin as well as Shanahan were apart but together when the incident occurred. Their relationship was troubled due to issues relating to COVID-19 lockdowns, as well as their daughter, who was three years old.
Following the publication of the report, Musk responded via Twitter and called the report “total falsehoods.” According to Elon Musk, according to Musk, “Sergey and I are good friends. We were at an event last night! I’ve only met Nicole once in three years, and both times with other people. There’s nothing romantic about it.” In another response, the billionaire exec stated, “Haven’t even had sex since ages (sigh).”

Brin, however, was once called “the Google playboy” for his sexual relationships with his employees, with Human Resources Manager Heather Cairns calling his behavior “a sexual harassment case just waiting to occur.” The 2014 Vanity Fair report revealed Brin’s relationship with Google Glass marketing manager Amanda Rosenberg occurred while he was married to co-creator of 23andMe Anne Wojcicki. She was also engaged to an additional Google executive. In the aftermath of Brin was divorce Anne Wojcicki split at the end of 2015 Brin had a secret wedding with Shanahan in the year 2018. In The WSJ Shanahan’s pursuing an approximately $1 billion portion of Brin’s $100 billion fortune in the divorce process.
According to the article, Brin Musk had been close to each other. Brin gave Musk’s Tesla the sum of $500,000 to fund its business during the recession of 2008, and Musk did the same in making Brin among the very first Tesla customers to buy Model X. Model X in 2015. Sources have told the WSJ that Musk was so frank as to go on his knees and ask Brin to be forgiven at the celebration earlier in the year. The report says that Brin and Musk haven’t spoken frequently and the report claims Brin has advised advisors to sell his personal stakes in Musk’s firms.
